Most people in the world are Humanists without even knowing it. We believe in striving for a good life by being simply....human. I'll explain it by listing the qualities and concepts, that in my view make us good humans.
Loyalty, manners, thirst for knowledge, family, friends, morals, law and order and science but to name a few. Can you be happy living like that? Of course you can. Freedom of thought and speech are fundamental rights that literally millions of people have died for over hundreds of years. Slave Religions such as Christianity, Islam etc... tell you that if you don't live your life the way you're told, bad things will happen to you. They control through fear and superstition, having caused misery and suffering through wars and persecution.
I dare to say that most of us are good because we've been raised that way by our family, not because we surrender our will to Religion. Are you a Humanist?
